Before I post the link to the demo there a few things that need to be established.
There are reported issues with the twitter API background autopost at the twitter developer forum. Basically, when the background is "auto" posted through their api, the change is not always immediate. The image seems to be cached in their system. And although, "twitter support" claims that they have it working, it apparently is not. There seems to be ongoing posts on their forum about this but it goes unanswered. We've already checked a number of other sites that have the autopost and they all have the same issues.
*note: in addition to the background image having a delay, the "tile" option is delayed as well
So what does this mean?
1. We provide both the manual upload option as well as the autopost for the most flexibility. If the user decides to autopost, once they submit their info and the background is uploaded, they will be instructed along the following lines:
"Note: If your background does not show up right away, try this trick: Login to Twitter > Settings > Design > Click Save Changes. If Twitter is having problems it could take a few hours for your background to show up."
2. You'll need to make an effort to post at the developers forum to make your voice heard. The more people that complain about it, the better chances we have to get it working.
