I've bought hundreds of sites in my time and although I've slowed the pace down I still scour the for sale listings almost daily. Lately, it's been a source of amusement for me! I don't know if these sellers even read what they write....because if they did, they certainly will see the BS.
For example, they'll start off with "I'm selling my site because I don't have time to manage it. I just got a 9-5 job"
Then in trying to "pitch" the site, they say, "If you only spend 10 minutes a day, you'll be making $x,xxx monthly"
So Mr. Seller, your 9-5 job is holding you back from spending 10 minutes a day to earn $x,xxx monthly? haha
I wonder how many suckers fall for this?
What's the most idiotic sales copy you've ever seen?

Its not fair how some people are. They say they don't want to hear your personal reasons, but then they say, "why are you seling" "whats wrong with it" or "why cant you wait" blah blah.
I have seen those same for sale site listing. I HATE domain squatters. Nothing on the domain except ads and "this domain is for sale" I mean I could put that to good use! URGH!!!!

lol.. :)
I've posted up a domain for sale because I simply don't have the time to manage it..
However, I don't think I said you could make lots of money from it with just a few minutes of time..
funny...
I've been looking at sites for sale on ebay, some of the sales pitches crack me up.
There is one that says the site is worth 70K, and the domain name it's self is worth a million..
Monthy profit for the site is over 7k... But I'm auctioning it, and the starting bid is 99 cents... C'mon now, you can't lose!

from an actual listing
"The only reason we are selling this site is because we don’t have the time or resources to invest into taking this website to the next level. In the right hands this website has earning potential of more than $20k per month."
For the right sucker, this will put some nice change into Mr. Sellers pockets :)
