The script is now available.
The demo is currently not skinned or styled. Just evaluate if for functionality. To see the demo please visit here (http://easylayoutcms.com/backgrounds2/girly/?page=1). Please read this thread as we will be updating it with additional info.
Here are installation threads for elcms/cacms/other.
ELCMS Integration (http://creativeaftermath.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1009)
CACMS Integration (http://creativeaftermath.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1008)
Hand Coded or alternate CMS Integration (http://creativeaftermath.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1010)
Just some basics:
1. The script will preview your background in 1.0 & 2.0 myspace formats, myyearbook, hi5 and friendster. We'll include css templates for various 1.0 & 2.0 myspace styles (like default, short, etc). However, you can "define" your own css styles and incorporate it easily into the script. So, say you wanted a skinny short default rounded corner layout you can just make 1 edit and then drop that into a folder and edit one php file.
2. You will be able to integrate the script into your existing elcms/cacms installs. In fact you can run the script on hand coded sites or alternative cms scripts.
3. This is not the final incarnation of the script. We are planning for a number of updates/upgrades. In the interest of releasing this script sooner than later we're holding off on the number of extra features on this initial release.
Ok, so I'm sure everyone's interested on the "damage" :)
1. For existing ELCMS/CACMS users, the price is $29. And you can use this script on "all" your existing elcms/cacms sites. One price for your entire network :) Click to Order (http://lic.creativeaftermath.com/order.php?cmd=products/licenses/view&license_id=16)- Your purchase will need to be authorized before the script is released to you
2. To use this on any other script is $59 "per" site. Click to Order (http://lic.creativeaftermath.com/order.php?cmd=products/licenses/view&license_id=15)
3. Marshall will be available for "paid" assistance. He will be setting a price once we have the product released.

I am slowly getting things around for this, once the official announcement is made I will post a demo, and reopen the install threads (they are temporarily closed so I can edit them if need be without confusion).
It should be ready by tonight ;)

Will we be able to customize it? the looks etc?

can you like change colors for every background? like add different hex codes?
SlickEddie

Ashley, it doesn't actually do conversions. It takes your background image and applies it to different "styles" that can be defined...or you can use the default styles that are provided
layout-luv, you can customize the landing page (the page that showcases the background and all the different style options). You can use thumbs to represent the different styles or you can use text
Richard, that will be in our next release as it will require the "right" implementation

I just wanted to remark on some of the installs that I've seen.
1. Just in case you weren't aware, there are previews for myyearbook, friendster and hi5
2. For SEO, you should name the different styles....short, default, skinny, table, etc.

Slight boo boo Marshall and SlickEddie on the friendster previewer. The textarea is nowhere to be found so there is no generated code. :)

the reason it's compact and straight to the point is that installation and integration is a snap. You just need to edit your script to tie into all the javascript. Have you already uploaded the files?

I am a noob noob noobie when it comes to scripts, design, mods etc.. and i installed all 3 of mine by myself. Just read the directions and do it one step at a time. Is there any one particular part of the instillation that you don't understand?

You can't get any more informative than that, the installation basically gives everything to you one step at a time. ;) Just follow the steps and all should work right, as for a readme, the default index.html file serves as a readme, but will tell you the same as the forum threads :)

If your running it hand coded it will work too, but you will need to add the javascript, and links to every html page. It's not like a cms that builds the pages on the fly (the down side to hand coding a site). It works fine on non CMS sites though, a perfect example would be index.html .
Your page should have
<script type="text/javascript">
function setBG(ver, style, bg){
window.open ('/background_styles/previews/' + ver + '.php?f=' + style + '&bg=' + bg, 'bgprev', 'scrollbars=yes, status=0, toolbar=0');
}
</script>and you can link to it like this
<a href="javascript:void(0)" onClick="setBG('v1', '1', 'www.somesite.com/path/to/image.jpg (http://www.somesite.com/path/to/image.jpg)'); return false"> Style 1</a><br>the above link would be using the myspace v1 preview, it would be applying the 1.css file, and applying "www.somesite.com/path/to/image.jpg (http://www.somesite.com/path/to/image.jpg) " to the background.

Here's the quick fix to the friendster preview PHP file:
Find this in your fr.php file:
<span class="q">About Me: </span>
<br>
</li>
<li>
<span class="q">Who I Want to Meet: </span>
<br>
Add the bolded code below under like this:
<span class="q">About Me: </span>
<br>
</li>
<li>
<span class="q">Who I Want to Meet: </span>
<br>
<br><span class="q">Layout Code: </span>
<br>
<textarea rows="5" cols="50">
<?=htmlentities($css)?>
</textarea>
